Meet Tim
Dedicated and accomplished singing Animatuer with a passion for nurturing musical talent and inspiring students of all ages. With expertise in vocal coaching, choir leadership, and singing instruction, Tim is committed to creating inclusive learning environments that foster creativity, confidence, and love for singing. With a bachelor’s degree in Vocal and Choral Studies and years of experience, Tim has developed a comprehensive understanding of effective teaching methodologies and techniques. Tim's ability to tailor lessons to individual student needs, combined with a holistic approach to vocal instruction, ensures safe and efficient vocal development.
As a choir director, Tim has successfully led diverse choirs and conducted mass-choir performances. With a focus on teamwork and musicality, Tim creates an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages collaboration and personal growth. Tim's commitment to ongoing professional development and involvement in professional associations reflects a dedication to staying current with the latest trends in singing education. With a strong skill set in vocal coaching, singing instruction and inspiring singers, Tim is poised to make a lasting impact on the musical journeys of students and choirs alike.

1-2-1 Coaching
You don’t have to be a singer to have singing lessons. My lessons help with confidence, public speaking, vocal proficiency, performance polishing, positive well-being, and efficient singing technique.

Schools
I offer an opportunity for your children to be inspired to sing again. To reclaim their voices and give them the confidence to make music as a class. Also, for the staff to learn how best to run a singing session.

Choirs
As well as a freelance choir director, I run a series of Gospel Choirs. A Children’s Gospel Choir called Soul Children and an Adult Gospel Choir called Gospel Collective. My choirs are for absolutely anyone.

Extended Voice
I work with PMLD learners to enhance their vocal expressivity and help them make more varied sounds. I use vocal improvisation to mimic the children and teach the staff to do the same.

Voice Over
I'm a British voice-over talent, originally from Sunningdale in Berkshire. I have a very flexible voice but my natural speaking voice is warm, friendly, bright, and with a native RP accent.

What people think
As an adult, I was hugely apprehensive of having the confidence to stand and sing in front of someone but hoped I’d pick up skills for work. I was very wrong to feel nervous. Tim very quickly put me at ease and I love our sessions.
I often present to rooms of people and was hoping to pick up skills that help me control my breathing, pitch, and overcome any nerves of public speaking. And in the process have fun!
The skills I’ve picked up over the last 18 months have not gone unmissed by work either.

I have had the privilege of working with Tim over the last few years. Together we have started a community youth/children’s choir and co-led all-age worship for a local church. What always amazes me is Tim’s genuine enthusiasm and fun which positively impacts those around him. When Tim starts working with children or young people, or indeed adults, you can see their interest being sparked, it is like a light being switched on. Tim pairs this ability to engage children with extremely strong, caring behaviour management. He clearly explains the level of behaviour he expects and then maintains that. He allows for, and encourages, enthusiasm and excitement and is also able to calm the tone down. Every child is encouraged to give of their best and all abilities are welcomed and nurtured.
Tim works very well as part of a team. He is very good at listening to the ideas of others, is perceptive about the feelings, and skills of others, and uses other people's skills well.
